RT Processing Card -- Primary

STEP 1:Find label. Voter confirms. Put on ATV.

> Ask voter for name -- start label search.

> Ask voter for address -- finish label search.

> Ask voter for party affiliation.

Read aloud this data FROM the found label.
Have the voter confirm this is THEIR label.
If voter's label is found, attach it to an ATV.

If label is not found, send voter to the Help Table. No ATV.

If the voter says a name change is desired, or if a wrong
address is on the label, flip this card. Then go to the top
block to handle the "obsolete" information.

Ignore for now any F, ID, V, P, A, or T on the label.

STEP 2: Ask voter for a photo ID. Verify it.

Ignore any address on the ID.

If Photo ID check fails, mark the [No ID] and [Photo ID]
boxes. Flip this card and go the Handle Exceptions block.

STEP 3: Process labeled ATV. (Exceptions?)

If F, ID, V, P, A, or T are on the label or if you    marked [Address on label is wrong], flip this card. Then
   go to to the Handle Exceptions block.
   Return here if so directed and continue below.

If F, ID, V, P, A, or T are on the label or if you marked [Address on label is wrong] or [Party dispute] boxes, flip this card. Then go to the Handle Exceptions block.
Return here if so directed and continue below.

If voter is Unaffiliated, ask voter for party choice, repeat choice aloud, cross out other ballot styles.
Ask voter to
- Verify label information.
- Read the "I certify that" items.
- Sign by the big X if all is OK.
You then initial ATV in Official's Initials box.
Send voter to the Ballot Table with the ATV.

Handle "Obsolete" Information on the Label

A name change is desired by the voter: Have the voter print the new name in ATV Section C.
The residence address needs to be updated: Mark the [Address on label is wrong] ATV box and cross out any ballot styles printed on the label.
The party on the label is wrong, per the voter: Mark
the [Party dispute] ATV box and cross out any ballot
styles printed on the label.

Do ALL that apply, then go to STEP 2 on the card front.

Handle Exceptions

For F, using the provided script, ask the voter to fill out an Election Day Unvalidated DL/SSN Form.
(It's optional.) Give any completed form to the CJ.
For ID (really meaning HAVA ID), ask the voter to
present a valid form of HAVA ID. Then, using the
Notice to Voters with No Acceptable ID page, perform the HAVA ID-required check.
- If the check passes, mark only the ATV Section A box that specifies the type of HAVA ID the voter used. This effectively deletes the ID exception, as if it had never been on the ATV.
- If the check fails, in Section A of the ATV, mark the [No ID] and [HAVA ID] boxes. The exception remains and a send to Help Table will be done below.
If any V, P, A, or T exceptions exist, mark the corresponding Section A "Send to Help Table" boxes.

? Are any boxes marked in "Send to Help Table"?

NO: Return to mid-STEP 3 on the card front.
YES: Continue below to exit to the Help Table.

DO NOT have the voter sign the ATV
DO NOT complete the Official's Initials box.
Send the voter to the Help Table with the ATV.
